AdultMatch is a dating and hookup app that’s available for iOS. Relatively new to the market, this app is 100% free and you can register as a single, couple or threesome to choose what kind of partner you’re looking for.
The AdultMatch Brand
Until recently there was also an Android app, but the link to download this from the AdultMatch website no longer works and the app can’t be found in the Google Play store anymore. There’s not much information available on the AdultMatch brand either.
They do seem to have a presence on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media sites, but their Twitter feed isn’t regularly updated and the link to the brand’s Facebook page is showing as unavailable. So not much to say about themselves really!
Registration
Getting started with AdultMatch is quick and easy. In order to use the app you’ll need to register as a single, couple or threesome and provide some information about what type of partner you’re looking for. You’ll also need to provide an email address to register and some basic personal information such as your birthday and location. Then you’ll choose a username and password for your account.
There’s the opportunity to create a really in-depth profile with a Headline and About Me section, as well as a section to fill in about the type of match you are looking for. You can also upload profile photos which will be visible to all registered members. Signing up is 100% free.
Desktop/Mobile Capability
AdultMatch is an app designed for use on iOS devices. There was originally also an Android app but this is no longer available. There is no desktop or mobile version of the site, so you’ll need an iPhone or iPad to use the app. The app is quick to download and easy to use.
User Experience
The AdultMatch app is designed in black, red and white, similar to many hookup apps. Quick and 100% free to download, it performs reliably on iOS devices and no major issues have been reported.
Their website has been thoughtfully designed in the same colours as the app and features positive reviews from members. It’s easy to navigate, whether you’re using the search function, swiping using the ‘Spark’ feature or looking at ‘Moments’, a social-media style feature where you can view updates and posts from other members. There’s also a blog page but this hasn’t been updated since 2016.
Safety and Security
There isn’t much information available on the AdultMatch site about their safety and security features. As you need to verify your email to create an account, you can be reasonably sure that you’re talking to a real person rather than a bot or a fake profile. But as with any dating app, there are no guarantees.
There is a block feature which you can use to keep unwanted messages at bay and prevent specific people from viewing your profile. Exercise caution when using the app and you’ll meet some interesting people!
Customer Service
There’s a ‘Contact’ link on the AdultMatch website where you can email support, but it’s not clear how long they’ll take to get back to you. If you experience any issues then it’s best to drop them an email and wait for a response rather than using Twitter or Facebook to get in touch, as these don’t seem to be regularly updated.
Conclusion
For casual dating and hook-ups, AdultMatch is a great little app – although you’ll need to own an iOS device to download it. Because its 100% free, there are no subscription costs or upgrades to worry about, so all users can utilise all the features of the app. Additional features like ‘Spark’ and ‘Moments’ are a nice touch and the ability to create an in-depth profile makes this app a more interesting way to get to know your match than some of the more popular swipe dating apps out there.
However, lack of an Android app and a lack of information on the app’s privacy, safety and security features may put some people off. All in all, we think AdultMatch is slightly above average and so we award it a 6.0!
